Personal Grooming Survey

SurveyI received a question about a week ago regarding personal grooming, and in the question they stated:

[My wife] claims that NO ONE does that every week, month or more than once or twice a year…

For those of you who have been around here for a while, you know I hate generalizations like that.  And we haven’t done a proper survey since…September?  Too long.  I thought this might be an easy one to pull off.

So, this is a fairly simple and short survey about personal grooming.  I’m not sure exactly when I’ll get the results up as it takes quite a while to analyze the data from surveys, but at least we can get the data starting to collect.

I’m not sure if my husband’s activities are considered Groomimg. What is the definition of Groomimg?

  2. Chris says:

Great survey. Do you think that as a husband it’s a reasonable request to shave or at least trim our balls for oral sex?

    1. Art says:

Yes. Shave them. It’s not easy, but my wife loves it.?

I can honestly say that when my wife starting shaving herself bare down (about 2 years ago at age 38), it transformed our sex life. It simply drives me wild and, as I say to her, it’s just so naughty. She’d always groomed herself heavily but then one day she started taking it all off and she’s been keeping it all ever since. The first time I saw it with my own eyes I got so hot so fast. Like I said, it’s just so naughty. That said, I think a lot of women now go bare. My wife is a member of Lifetime Fitness and she once told me the majority of women she sees naked in the locker room are bare down there (not that she looks closely at them but she has noticed). So it seems to be the norm now.

Some Christians argue that we shouldn’t shave down there because God gave mature adults pubic hair for a reason and shaving supports the porn industry and pedophilia. I argue then that men should not shave their faces, and women should not shave their armpits or legs under that reasoning.

Yes, many more women are going bare these days for many reasons. I do believe much of it is due to media pressure and the influence of pornography (not pedophilia). Also, the increase in less modest clothing, smaller bikini bottoms, and casual sex play roles.

Other factors such as the increase in women working out (dang hair chafes), personal comfort, and how disgustingly messy it gets during menstruation come into play.

A part of me wishes we ladies could enjoy the freedom of being just as sexy in all our hairy glory as God created us, but I seriously doubt that sentiment is ever going to return. There really is something sexy about a smooth woman. I love the contrast of my husband’s masculine hairiness, and my feminine smoothness.

He has asked me if he should shave and I say NO! I love his hair, but I don’t like my own.

I think hair in the genital area is FAR more sexy and mysterious than shaved. Being shaved in those areas remind me of little boys and girls…unappealing to me!

  5. Frustrated says:

I once asked her about grooming “down there” and you would have thought I just suggested having a threesome. or watching porn together. Never mind that she shaves her legs and armpits (parts others get to see), but forget about looking nice the part that only the husband sees. what the …?!

    1. Jay Dee says:

So, have you ever asked “why is it okay to shave your arms and legs, but not your private areas?”?

  6. MBeck says:

Umm, what about us women that have had c-sections? If I shaved the front section off, it’d show my scar…NOT SEXY. For me, due to that scar, I keep just the front, and it’s very easy and hygenic. Plus, I really just don’t know how y’all deal with it being so stubbly on that front section, OUCH!

I use to keep my male bits trimmed than Sweetie complained that the hair felt prickly. So I have started to shave it all off. I like the smoothness and now she says I look like a boy. You can’t win! LOL

  8. JaxStyle says:

Crud. I took the “grooming” as simply washing, not shaving. So, my response to this survey is invalid cause I answered wrongly.

  9. Albert says:

Im assuming that since it has been a month since this survey started, there is apage somewhere with the results, but I’m not finding it. Where are the results of this survey?

I just finally wrote the post today. It will be up Tuesday. Sorry, it takes a while to do the analysis, and it’s hard to find a 4 hour block of time these days.
